COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 4, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – On Monday, July 9, 2012 dozens of pro-life young people will pile into vans and billboard trucks and head to several cities in the U.S. Midwest on the first summer Justice Ride of 2012.

The goal is to save the lives of the unborn, register voters, and turn out the pro-life vote in the November 6, 2012 election, according to a press release from Created Equal, a pro-life movement that seeks to mobilize youth to “restore the true meaning of equality to include equal protection between the born and the preborn.”

From July 9-13, the mobile billboards will display aborted babies on the sides and rear of box trucks next to the phrase “VOTE PRO-LIFE on November 6, 2012.” The mobile billboards will be accompanied by dozens of young people holding handheld pro-life signs in the downtown area of each city.

Organizers of the pro-life tour explain that the inspiration for the Justice Ride lies in the civil rights movement of the 1960s, when African-Americans boarded segregated buses to draw attention to racial discrimination. They called these Freedom Rides.

“Created Equal draws upon the Freedom Rides of the past and other parallels between the civil rights movement and the pro-life movement to inspire youth to get involved in a cause far greater than themselves. We are inspiring a new generation of pro-life activists to take on the culture of death and win,” said Mark Harrington, Executive Director of Created Equal.

“America is at a crossroads. We have been killing children in the womb for almost forty years. On November 6, 2012, America will either choose life or death,” said Harrington.

The first of the 2012 Summer Justice Rides, which will focus on the battleground states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Missouri, and Iowa,  will take placein the following locations:

July 9 – Cincinnati, OH, from 11:00AM – 2:00PM at the intersection of Vine St. and Fifth Ave.

July 10 – Indianapolis, IN, from 11:00AM – 2:00PM at 100 Monument Circle.

July 11 – Chicago, IL, from 11:00AM – 2:00PM at Daley Plaza.

July 12 – Cleveland, OH, from 11:00AM – 2:00PM OH at the intersection of East 9th St. and Euclid Ave.

July 13 – Pittsburgh, PA, from 11:00AM – 2:00PM at Market Square.

“Midwest voters will play a central part in determining the outcome of the November election,” Harrington observed, adding that, “Other key state destinations are being considered, since the strategy pays long-term dividends by having an effect on state abortion laws and helps elect pro-life federal, state and local representatives.”

“Our huge mobile billboards and handheld signs will make abortion real to voters and our young people will represent the victims of abortion because they have no vote. If the photographic evidence of the injustice of abortion doesn’t motivate Americans to vote pro-life, nothing will,” Harrington concluded.
