WASHINGTON, January 21, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — Comedian Kathy Griffin joined other celebrities and activists urging followers to call out a group of students who attended the March for Life last Friday from Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky for supposed harassment of a Native American man.

An edited video of the incident sparked initial condemnation of the students on Saturday, but new video appears to debunk claims of harassment and racism directed at the students.

Griffin wrote on Twitter, “Name these kids.”

“I want NAMES. Shame them. If you think these f—– wouldn’t dox you in a heartbeat, think again,” she wrote.

Most of the ire was directed at Covington junior Nick Sandmann after he was shown in the edited video wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap while appearing to calmly smirk at Native American activist Nathan Phillips.

In a statement, Sandmann said he and his family have received death threats. According to the Washington Examiner, other students and families have also faced threats and other harassment as a result of the claims. Sandmann was accused of racism by critics on social media. The Catholic Diocese of Covington condemned the students and threatened to expel them from the school.

Other video revealed more details that prompted media and celebrities to retract their earlier reports and statements. However, Griffin and other leftists have continued to criticize the teen boys despite video evidence showing the Native American protesters used obscenities and racial slurs while haranguing the largely white students. One is heard to say “Go back to Europe!”

Griffin’s effort to dox and therefore identify the students and their residences is a violation of Twitter’s terms of service, which in other cases has merited being bumped off the platform. However, her account is still active.

Some Twitter users are calling on Twitter to erase the messages. President Donald Trump’s namesake son tweeted, “Conservatives have been banned from @Twitter for much less! Attempting to dox minors is surely a violation of twitter policy?”
