ROYAL OAK, Michigan, Nov 5 (LSN) – Assisted suicide activist Jack Kevorkian who admits to having illegally helped over 120 persons kill themselves, was convicted yesterday of interfering with police and resisting arrest. Judge Daniel Sawicki fined Kevorkian $700, plus $200 in court costs, after the jury delivered its findings. “You think I’m going to obey the law? You’re crazy,” said Kevorkian following the court proceeding.  Kevorkian and his accomplice Georges Reding were arrested May 7th after attempting to drop off the body of one of their victims at William Beaumont Hospital. Police officers who were at the hospital on other business saw a “motionless person” in the back seat of Kevorkian’s car. Police reports indicate that when questioned, Kevorkian “charged at one of the officers and pushed him several times” in trying to escape,  whereupon he was arrested and taken to jail.  In related news former Kevorkian lawyer Geoffrey Fieger lost his Democratic bid for Michigan governor.
