LANSING, Michigan, Aug 5 (LSN) – Geoffrey Fieger, the outspoken lawyer who has successfully defended suicide activist Jack Kevorkian, leads Michigan’s Democratic gubernatorial primary by 2% with 93% of the vote accounted for.  According to analysts, even if Fieger wins the Democratic nomination he stands little chance of ousting incumbent Republican Governor John Engler.  However, that has not daunted Fieger who has reportedly spent more than $1 million of personal money on his campaign.  Fieger’s political style is rude, condescending. He called Engler “a political hack who’s never had a job in his life and doesn’t have a singular idea in his skull.” Kevorkian, who attended Fieger’s election party in Detroit praised Fieger saying, “of all the politicians I know personally, he has more of the positive attributes.”
