May 24, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – The Catholic news agency Crux, funded by the Knights of Columbus, is facing criticism today after tweeting, and then deleting, a cartoon of an angel Pope Francis and devil President Trump kissing.

Crux tweeted the image along with an article anticipating Trump's visit to the Vatican. Father John Zuhlsdorf posted a screenshot of it on his blog.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church labels homosexual acts “intrinsically disordered” (CCC 2357). Sodomy is one of the four sins that the Church says “cries out to heaven for vengeance.”

Commenters on Fr. Zuhlsdorf's blog labeled the image “repulsive and vulgar.”

“I’m a Knight. And I’m horrified by that image,” one wrote.

Crux editor John Allen, Jr. apologized in a series of tweets responding to critics.
