UNITED NATIONS, June 2 (LifeSiteNews.com) – On Tuesday, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan opened a meeting at which actress Jane Fonda, estranged wife of Ted Turner, unveiled a 15-minute documentary focusing on three Nigerian projects involving youth and “sexual and reproductive health”.

The short film, which was researched and narrated by Fonda, shows adolescent girls and boys in sex education classes and job training programs. “Realities of Girls’ Lives: How We Can Act Now”  also featured one teenager who announced that “no girl in her program had become pregnant or had an unsafe abortion in five years,” drawing applause from the audience of 300 feminist activists at the Beijing +5 conference.

One of the most successful tactics used at the UN to promote abortion has been to claim the need to provide “safe” abortions to guard against “unsafe” abortions.  Moreover, the focus of the Nigerian programs involves graphic sex-ed for youth as well as encouragement of the use of abortifacient contraception including “emergency contraception.”

Fonda, a long-time pro-abortion activist, revealed at the meeting that it was Annan himself who urged her to “get involved” in the conference.
