BUFFALO, November 13, 2002 (LifeSiteNews.com) – James C. Kopp, accused of shooting abortionist Dr. Barnett Slepian, is now saying he may represent himself in court if he is not allowed to be represented by Bruce Barket, the strident pro-life lawyer he has retained in place of Paul Cambria Jr. “There are philosophical sympathies between me and Mr. Barket,” Kopp says. “I’d be hard-pressed to find another lawyer.” Judge Hugh Scott has yet to approve Kopp’s preference.  For previous LifeSite coverage see:  KOPP MAY TAKE THE STAND, NEW PRO-LIFE LAWYER SAYS https://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2002/oct/02103107.html
