INCHEON, Korea, July 29, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Korean court has refused to acknowledge the request of a plaintiff who claimed her same-sex relationship constitutes a marriage, entitling her to half of assets shared with her partner, and alimony.  The court ruled that a woman, identified only as Lee, was under no compulsion to pay a partner of 20 years, identified as Kim, alimony or for shared assets. The court said that the Korean Constitution only recognizes marriage between a man and a woman, and so does not accept the relationship as valid.  tv
