December 18, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) – TV star and radical abortion activist Lena Dunham has written that she would have "punched someone" if she had to face pro-life Members of Congress.

In an introduction to her interview with Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards, Dunham wrote that Richards "stood strong in the face of unprecedented attacks on reproductive freedom, including the unspeakable shooting in Colorado Springs in November."

"Just a few months prior, Cecile's epic testimony before a Congress intent on defunding Planned Parenthood was a study in intelligence and calm," wrote Dunham. "I know I would have either fallen asleep or punched someone if I had come face to face with that much ignorance."

In another controversial remark, Dunham said that if her website, LennyLetter.com, did a "person of the year" award, it would always go to a "dame of one kind or another."

Dunham, who this year dressed as an abortion doctor for Halloween, is in Iowa this week to campaign for leading Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton for president.
