BROCKTON, Mass., Oct 13 (LSN.ca) – Lesbian Judge Linda Giles has ruled that South Junior High School in Brockton cannot forbid a 15-year-old boy from coming to school in drag – wearing padded bras, wigs and high heels. The school pointed out that a boy dressing as a girl in class was obviously disruptive, and led to confrontations with classmates.

AP reports that on Wednesday, the lesbian judge ruled the school’s actions are “the stifling of a person’s selfhood merely because it causes some members of the community discomfort.” She refused a request by the school to remove herself from the case due to her bias. A therapist claimed that the boy “has a gender identity disorder that makes it medically necessary for him to wear women’s clothes.”
