Dismissing Fr. Bartolomeo
Dear Editor,
I find it the very height of hypocrisy that a lesbian can object to a homily on “straight” family life and sex roles while the Church is still reeling and trying to regain some sort of equilibrium from the homosexual priests pedophilia epidemic. It is way past time to cleanse the Temple!
The Church should shield homosexual pedophiles and publicly be silent on straight sex within marriage between one man and one woman?
I don’t think so!
I wish there were legions more priests out there bold enough to preach the straight truth as Fr. Bartolomeo!
What is the logic of the “appropriateness” of teaching only those in the pre-marriage programs? There are millions of pews-full of people other than engaged couples who must and are entitled to hear the unvarnished truth. Any worship service is the appropriate place to teach proper Christian human relationships, because those relationships have a direct bearing on our relationship to God, and our eternal destiny.
“Tolerance” of homosexuality and all its associated perversions is NOT going to get anyone into God’s eternity. “Tolerance” in this instance is nothing but cowardice, not mercy. If Jesus Himself is Truth, as He stated without equivocation (John 14:6), and He is the Final Judge, and all non-truth is from the enemy and an abomination to God, then no one who names the Name of Christ can afford to use the euphemism “tolerance” for sin.
When Jesus prevented the stoning of the woman caught in adultery, He didn’t excuse her conduct and absolve her of sinning. He told her to go, and sin no more. He told her to leave her life of sin.
Father Bartolomeo is walking in his Savior’s footsteps. Those who disrupted his message, revealing their sinful hearts, are not. It’s that simple.
The winnowing process is to separate the wheat from the chaff. Let those who insist on wallowing in their sin go. It is their choice. It is not the place of the Christian truth to bow the knee to anyone or anything but Christ!
Please reinstate Fr. Bartolomeo, with God speed!

Re: “Bizarre” Counselling Training
Dear Editor,
Rre: the “therepeutic conversations” article in the magazine of the Faculty of Nursing at Calgary. There is nothing “therepeutic” about having a “conversation” about killing the child in the womb. This is one sick “conversation” from supposedly “healthy” medical people who are supposed to try and save lives, and surely is a perversion of nursing ethics.
