Sarah Palin Brings “Decency” to Politics
Dear Editor,
John McCain picks Sara Palin, the governor of Alaska, as his running mate for Vice President, and some in the media in the United States and Canada are really frantic. In fact, Diane Francis in the National Post of August 30, 2008 stated: “This woman has no skill set and her only qualification appears to be gender.” Ms Francis went on to say: “How dare McCain put someone into one of the biggest, most important jobs in the world.”
Oh really, Ms Francis, too bad he didn’t consult you and the other media who are raving on about her having “no experience.” Many thinking people have had enough of the “experience” brought to them by morally challenged politicians. Ms. Palin brings some decency, ethics and honor to the political scene, and I have no doubt that is why she is under attack.

Canada’s Conservatives are Cowards

I simply wish to say that Steve Jalsevac’s unequivocal comments about abortion being “murder” and the Harper Conservatives being “cowards” on this issue, was right on target.
The fact is that the Conservatives, by far my preference to the Liberals (which in itself is some commentary), are nevertheless utter cowards also in regard to the unrestrained and discriminatory conduct of homosexual-dominated Human Rights Commissions and a thoroughly silly-minded Supreme Court of Canada. ‘Supreme’ it might be in terms of Canadian courts, but in regard to morals, decency, objectivity, and just plain old ‘wisdom’, it is a disgraceful shambles.
