TORONTO, May 12 (Lifesitenews.com) – Diverging from the primary issues of the Ontario election campaign,  Ontario Liberal Leader Dalton McGuinty today promised that if the Liberals win he would allow practicing homosexuals to adopt children. According to today’s Toronto Sun McGuinty promised that his legislation (which he said he would pass in his first term) would also “compel all Ontario companies to extend drug, dental and other benefits to same-sex spouses.”

Last year, McGuinty spoke to the Fraternity, an organization of homosexualist professionals in Toronto, and promised to represent their “rights” agenda in the Legislature. He went as far as to say that separate school boards should not be allowed to fire homosexual teachers.

McGuinty’s record on abortion further indicates his hostility toward family issues. On CBC Metro Morning Dec. 2, 1996, for example, he declared, “I believe in a woman’s right to choose.” In an October 1996 Interim interview, McGuinty reiterated his standing in favour of tax funding of abortion.
