Fr. Fidelis MoscinskiRed Rose Rescue

(LifeSiteNews) — A petition in support of a pro-life Catholic priest facing charges from the Biden administration garnered nearly 7,000 signatures in its first 24 hours. As of this writing, it has now exceeded 8,000 signatures.

LifePetitions launched the petition after a Pennsylvania court handed down a split ruling against Father Christopher “Fidelis” Moscinski, a pro-life activist and member of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal.

Father Fidelis was found guilty of two misdemeanor charges and not guilty of a felony trespass and a misdemeanor resist for participating in a Red Rose Rescue at a Planned Parenthood in 2021.

He along with other Red Rose Rescuers regularly enter abortion centers with red roses and pro-life literature to hand out to women, persuading them to choose life for their unborn children.

Father Fidelis was previously arrested for rescues in Ohio in June 2021 and New Jersey in January 2020.

The Biden administration also recently charged the priest and other pro-life activists for Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE) violations, days after the FBI raid on the home of Catholic dad of seven Mark Houck.

Father Fidelis spoke with LifeSite’s Jim Hale shortly after the court decision:

He urged people to “continue keeping all pro-lifers anywhere who are facing charges, especially federal charges, in your prayers, and that God can bring some good out of this unjust persecution.”

The pro-life priest added: “The most important thing is that we do this all with love. Not out of frustration or anger, or judgment. We just realize, we’re instruments of the Lord in all of this.”
