MOTHER WANTS SOCIAL WORKERS TO RETURN CHILD

LANGLEY, BC, Mar 27 (LSN.ca) – Beverley Smith, a victim of frequently overzealous social workers in British Columbia, has been protesting the removal of her daughter from her care by staging a sit-in for the past six days in the riding office of BC Premier Ujjal Dosanjh. Schneider of Langley, BC, had her daughter, Raquel Schneider, taken from her three years ago without an investigation. She was accused of having Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, a disorder that involves the intentional harming of one’s own child.

Despite undergoing four psychological exams which all found her not to suffer from the disorder, the BC government was unwilling to admit its error and thus the child remains in custody. Schneider’s recent actions were prompted by a recent Fifth Estate program which covered her plight. The Fifth Estate retained an eminent gastrointestinal physician from Chicago Children’s Hospital, who reviewed the “medical evidence.” Dr. Peter Whittington stated it would be impossible for him to reproduce the symptoms that child protection workers in B.C. had accused Schneider of causing.

Schneider is merely asking the government to review the case. However, the BC government is refusing to reopen it despite the evidence. BC pro-family group, Citizen’s Research Institute, is urging supporters to contact the government to ask for a review of the case.

PACKARD AND TURNER TARGET 3RD WORLD FOR POP CONTROL

Boy Scouts Paid To Push Abortion

NEW YORK, Mar 27 (LSN.ca) – Last Thursday, the foundations of both deceased computer tycoon David Packard and CNN media mogul Ted Turner announced multi-million dollar spending for depopulation among people of colour in the third world. The David and Lucille Packard Foundation announced more than $13 million in new grants “to develop innovative ways to bring voluntary family planning services to young people in the developing world.”

The Packard money will go partly to the cleverly named “Family Health International” (FHI) which, exploiting and redefining the role of the World Association of Girl Guides and Boy Scouts, will educate up to 900 Boy Scouts and Girl Guides in India on adolescent and reproductive health. According to FHI, trained Boy Scouts and Girl Guides who earn the new Healthy Adolescent Project Badge will become peer educators and reach, in turn, at least 22,500 adolescents and young adults in the Health Adolescent Refugees Program (HARP).” The remainder will go to “Teen Healthquarters” in the Philippines. The foundation notes that Teen Healthquarters, “provides Filipino adolescents with counseling services, education, and primary healthcare including a full range of reproductive health services.” This means very explicit sex information and promotion of condoms, contraception and abortion and acceptance of unmarried sexual activity and homosexuality and undermining of important cultural and religious traditions.

Turner’s cash will go to projects such as: “improv[ing] the reproductive health of adolescent girls in rural Bangladesh” ($1,063,705); Social licensing of reproductive health clinics in Honduras ($2,513,338); and “voluntary confidential counseling and testing for HIV/AIDS, distribution of condoms, treatment of sexually-transmitted diseases, family planning and HIV/AIDS and sexual education” in Mozambique ($2,751,000).

UNITED NATIONS POPULATION FUND – “RACIST” AWARDS

UNITED NATIONS, Mar 27 (LSN.ca) – American Life League President Judie Brown blasted the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Friday by giving awards for “outstanding contributions to increasing the awareness of population problems and to their solutions.” Ismail Awadallah Sallam, the minister of health and population of Egypt, and a Mexican family planning organization, Fundacion Mexicana para la Planificacion Familiar MEXFAM), will share the award presented by the ALL Committee.

“The rich in the developed nations pay UNFPA director Nafis Sadik to run around the world rewarding those who best carry out a racist agenda of population elimination in countries where the people are brown, black or yellow. Meanwhile, vital necessities like food, medicine and education are withheld from those who don’t conform to the ‘family planning’ agenda,” said Brown. “Poor people don’t want abortions and dangerous contraceptive chemicals – they want a helping hand from their fellow men. Instead MEXFAM and the UNFPA give them death under the pseudonym ‘family planning.'”

FRANCE SPONSORS POPE-BASHING CARTOON SERIES

British Television Considers Showing

LONDON, Mar 27 (LSN.ca) – The BBC and Sky Television in Britain are considering airing a cartoon which would seriously ridicule the Catholic papacy. The Telegraph reports that the 26-part series, called “Popeman”, is currently in production by Channel X, the independent company founded by the television personality Jonathan Ross. Channel X is producing the show with the French company Moi J’aime La Television. The French government is contributing nearly $2 million (CDN) to the project. The series appears to be especially motivated by gay hatred of Christian morality.

The Telegraph reports that Phil Ox, the French director makes no apologies for hate-mongering content. “I do not think the Church has any problem irritating me sometimes,” he told the paper. “I support gay rights and believe abortion is a solution sometimes. We do not want to question the fact that people believe in God and just want to question the establishment of the Church.”

US NEWS ROUNDUP

The Family Research Council reports that during the week of April 3, the US House will vote on the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2000 (H.R. 3660), introduced by Representative Charles Canady (R-FL). This is the fifth time the House will take a vote to ban this horrific abortion practice. The House has twice overridden President Clinton’s veto of the ban, but the Senate has fallen just a few votes short.

In Minnesota, the state House and Senate contradicted each other with regard to allowing money for a bronze bust of the late Minnesota U.S. Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun – author of the notorious Roe v. Wade decision. The House took the Blackmun provision out of a larger bill on a 69-58 floor vote. The Senate Thursday voted 45-22 to keep it in. A conference committee will deal with the disagreement. https://www.pioneerpress.com/news/mtc_docs/028779.htm

A new program on the station called “Undressed” centres on perverse behavior. https://www.all.org/rfl/rf000323.htm

Church News reported Saturday that Cardinal Francis George of Chicago recalled to the faithful their civic responsibility when electing a candidate. “The primary moral judgment on candidates and their positions is to be made in the light of their concern for protecting human life from conception to natural death”, the Cardinal stressed, recalling a document issued by the US Bishops on “Faithful Citizenship: Civic Responsibility for a New Millennium”.
