GATES DONATES ANOTHER 6 BILLION
LOS ANGELES, Aug 24 (LSN) – Bill Gates, the Microsoft billionaire, has donated another $6 billion to his Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, a charity which avidly supports population control, particularly in the developing world. The Gates charity has reached $17.1 billion, making it the second largest in the world after London’s Wellcome Trust at $19.2 billion. However, Gates hopes to be first also in the charity arena, and if he continues his $5 billion donation every quarter he will achieve his goal in little time.
Pro-life leaders are concerned that this astronomical amount of money could be used to force de-population on countries in dire need of genuine humanitarian assistance. Many would have expected Gates to feel a natural challenge in developing technological and other strategies to improve thequality of life in the third world instead of taking the quick fix low road of eliminating people as a supposed solution to complex problems. Gates also seems to be unaware that as economic conditions improve in poor nations, a lowered the birth rate always naturally follows.
While he has given billions to the de-population efforts of the United Nations Population Fund and millions to Planned Parenthood and the like, Gates’ motivation may not be sinister. With his unheard-of wealth, Bill Gates has been a prime target of propaganda by Planned Parenthood and de-population fanatics such as Ted Turner. Judie Brown, President of American Life League told LifeSite, “We are hopeful that Bill Gates is directing his money without realizing that he is supporting genocidal and racist population control organizations.”

CANADIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION PUTS FOOT IN MOUTH OVER FOOTHILLS
OTTAWA, Aug 24 (LSN) – The Canadian Medical Association has waded into the fray over the infanticides at Foothills Hospital in Calgary. The current issue of the Canadian Medical Association Journal desperately tries to whitewash the Foothills scandal using tactics such as misinformation and attempting to belittle Alberta Report magazine which broke the story.
The journal attempts to deflect attention away from the hospitals crimes by attacking the messenger of the bad news. It strongly implies the complete falsehood that Alberta Report magazine intended to make public the names of abortionists contained in leaked memos. CMAJ regurgitates falsehoods spouted in the case and paints a confusing picture of the actual events.
Those wishing to respond to the CMA are encouraged to read the Alberta Report articles and the CMAJ piece and then express concerns to the CMA at:

NEWSPAPER ON TRIAL FOR QUOTING BIBLE
SASKATOON, SK, Aug 24 (LSN) – The Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission (HRC) has agreed to hear a case brought by homosexual activists against a newspaper that published an ad quoting the Bible on homosexuality. The Saskatoon StarPhoenix printed a paid advertisement from Hugh Owens on June 30, 1997 depicting two stick-figure men holding hands, superimposed with a red circle and slash, and quoting several Bible verses regarding homosexuality.
Homosexual activists Jason Roy and Jeff Dodds brought separate complaints against the paper and Owens. Both cases were opened together Monday. Roy and Dodds claim the ad (the Bible verses) incite hatred toward homosexuals and suggest that they should be killed. The paper printed the ad once and then refused to run a second ad citing community concerns. Owens, representing himself in court said he does not hate homosexuals and wanted stress that homosexuality is a sin.

NO APPEAL GRANTED FOR ROSA HARTFORD
LAPORTE, PA, Aug 24 (LSN) – Last week the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that Rosa Hartford’s 1997 successful appeal of a 1996 conviction was improvidently granted thus reinstating her conviction. In 1996 Hartford was convicted of interfering in the custody of a minor when she drove the 13-year-old pregnant girlfriend of her 19 year old step-son girl to New York for an abortion without telling the girl’s mother. Today the state’s Supreme Court refused Hartford another appeal.
In an effort to protect her stepson, who later pleaded guilty to statutory rape, Hartford drove the girl 60 miles to an out-of -state abortuary where she masqueraded as the girl’s stepmother, signing a medical history form. Hartford received no jail time for her crime. She was sentenced to a year of probation, a $500 fine and 150 hours of community service.
Her lawyer Marsha Levick said she is considering an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
