LifeSiteNews is looking for a creative, self-motivated, mission-oriented “full-stack” video producer/editor. As a primarily text-based news agency, LifeSite is looking to reach new audiences and tell new stories promoting the pro-life and pro-family cause by branching out into other forms of content production.  The successful candidate will initially be responsible for every aspect of video production, from storyboarding to shooting to post-production and sound design, as well as managing content on our Youtube/Vimeo accounts. He/she will also be intimately involved in defining the direction that LifeSite’s content-production takes, which could include everything from the production of pro-life short films, the creation of regular podcast-style interview programs, on-the-ground video reporting, etc. 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a vibrant, passionate team of professionals committed to promoting the Culture of Life, and to use their God-given talents to reach literally millions of viewers with the truth about life, family and faith.

This position reports to the Managing Editor and the management team. 


  • Storyboard pro-life and pro-family videos

  • Capture studio-quality photographs and video

  • Set up studio lighting for video interviews

  • Manage and oversee all technical aspects of video recording and editing

  • Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects

  • Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process


  • Proven work experience as a video editor/videographer

  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)

  • Demonstrable videography and editing ability with a strong portfolio

  • Creative mind and storytelling skills

  • Highly self-motivated

  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team setting

  • Strong personal commitment to the pro-life and pro-family cause

LOCATION: The successful will be able to work remotely from home. However, some travel will almost certainly be necessary in order to capture original video content/assist in setting up home studios for staff, etc.

SALARY: Salary is negotiable based upon need and experience. Keep in mind that LifeSiteNews is a mission-based non-profit, although we always seek to meet our employees' legitimate financial needs.
