After a scandal in which it was found that a British hospital removed the hearts of children who had died at the hospital without ensuring informed parental consent or notification the hospital – Diana Princess of Wales Children’s Hospital in Birmingham – will offer to return the hearts of 1,500 dead babies whose organs were to be used for medical research.
Dr. Arthur Leader the University of Ottawa’s chief of reproductive medicine and president of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society is urging Canada to pay for costly fertility treatments. (National Post)
