* Two expert witnesses for the upcoming October Canadian court case on the legality of spanking debated the issue last weekend at the International Conference on the Changing Family in Alberta; one expert said “loving, sober parents who are in control of their anger,” can use spanking to the benefit of their children, the other described all spanking as physical “assault.”  (The National Post)
