* The National Post reported today the figures on public funds that went to produce the lesbian porn film Bubbles Galore; $60,000 from the Canada Council, almost $10,000 from the Ontario Film Development Corporation and $40,000 from the Ontario Arts Council.

* The Toronto Sun is reporting today that changes to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act will allow for “gun-toting envirocops” with power to get warrants, do search and seizure,  surveillance and “issue on-the-spot ‘cease-and-desist’ orders to prevent pollution.”
