CHILEAN BISHOPS PROTEST PROPOSAL TO RATIFY UN DOCUMENT – SENATE DELAYS MEASURE C-fam reports that the government of Chile recently postponed a senate vote on the UN’s controversial Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), for fear that the senate would defeat its ratification.
