Caroll Carkner, president of a local teachers union, has vowed to lobby the Upper Canada Board of Education to purchase pro-homosexual books for children. The Brockville Recorder & Times reported Saturday that discussions with the local’s 13-member executive will take place this fall and she’s hopeful it will recommend to the Upper Canada District School Board that it provide funds for materials reflecting alternative sexual lifestyles.
