A group of nuns in Germany has revived the age-old practice of taking in babies through a flap in the door so that mothers can abandon unwanted children without fear of identification. The sisters of Our Lady of the Love of the Good Shepherd at the St Gabriel cloister in Munich have an enlarged letter box in their front door, with a warm bed on the inside and an alarm to alert the sisters to a “delivery”. A woman “posting” her child there will find a letter from the nuns thanking her for leaving her baby in a safe place and saving its life.

Dr. Laura Schlessinger, whose new TV show commenced taping last Thursday, has issued a “call to action” urging loyal listeners to help prevent advertising sponsors of her show from defecting under pressure from gay activists. While 90 per cent of the show’s 148 national sponsors have remained supportive, the pressure by homosexual activists has resulted in 12 advertisers abandoning the show including Proctor & Gamble Co. , GEICO Corp., Kraft Foods , Xerox Corp., American Express Corp. and the online branch of Toys “R” Us.
