Agence France Press reports that the Italian government has agreed to a compromise over the World Gay Pride event to be held in Rome in July. The July 1-9 gay festival will take place,  but a planned rally in Piazza Venezia, in front of the national monument, will be moved to another location, and a gay pride parade won’t be allowed to cross the city center or any other city street to secure “public order,” said the newspaper Il Messaggero.
