Homosexual activists are stepping up their campaign against talk show host Dr. Laura Schlessinger. CBC reports that they are running full-page newspaper and magazine ads urging advertisers to withhold support for Dr. Laura’s radio program and upcoming TV show.
Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life has said of Texas Gov. George W. Bush: “I was happy to meet Mr. Bush and am grateful for his position on the right to life, which is a breath of fresh air for all of us who have suffered through the Clinton/Gore era.” However, Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family warns that “(Bush) sounds a whole lot more conservative when he is talking to conservatives and a whole lot more moderate when he is talking to moderates.”
The US permanent normal trade relations with China (NTR) bill passed the US House by a decisive 237-197 margin, with 73 Democrats joining 164 Republicans to support the measure.
