The Australian Government, outraged by a United Nations committee’s attack on Australia’s treatment of Aboriginals, is planning to turn its back on the UN’s international treaty system. In an unprecedented snub, the Federal Cabinet decided this week to order a “whole-of-government review of the United Nations treaty committee system as it affects Australia”.
A Korean study has found that more than 70 percent of the nation’s youth have seen adult (pornographic) videos and as many as three in 10 felt that exposure to sexually explicit material had prompted them to become sexually active or commit acts of sexual violence, the Commission on Youth Protection said Sunday.
