Tory MP Rick Borotsik said yesterday that access to information documents show the total cost of an 11-week Call Girls and sex talk exhibit hosted by the Canadian Culture Centre in Paris was $57,218.49. 

The National Post reports that John Levy, the majority owner of Headline Sports is applying for a licence to run Pride TV, a 24-hour gay and lesbian channel in Canada. The application will be filed with the federal broadcast regulator, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, on Monday, sources say. That is the deadline for applications for the 10 new channels the regulator is prepared to license.

The Catholic Bishop of Auckland New Zealand has pledged cash to help women “choose life” for their babies instead of abortion. Bishop Patrick Dunn has given a personal undertaking to give every possible help, including financial, to girls and women undecided about the future of their unborn child. He says he will reach into his own pocket if necessary. 

Late Wednesday NBC pulled the plug on “God, the Devil and Bob,” the controversial animated comedy a number of network affiliates have been refusing to air. The series had come under fire from several religious groups, including the Rev. Donald Wildmon’s American Family Association.
