The Secretary-General of the United Nations has announced the appointment of Kunio Waki of Japan as Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), effective 1 February 2000. 

A study on cigarette warnings with photos of health effects has found the graphic photos are effective at discouraging smoking. The results of the study would likely apply to graphic photos of abortion as well. 

A Planned Parenthood fundraising letter has insinuated that Christian organizations such as the Family Research Council and Focus on the Family are linked to those who would bomb abortuaries and stalk abortionists.  The Christian groups are demanding a retraction. 

Pro-Life E-News notes that well-known Bible teacher Chuck Swindoll starts a series on abortion and the sanctity of human life. Aired on radio stations across North America, you can hear the series via the internet.
