(LifeSiteNews) –– Do you love talking to people about your mutual passions? Do those passions include sharing the Gospel of Life? Working for justice for the unborn, the disabled, the vaccine-injured, and the elderly? Telling the truth in and out of season?

If so, you might be the person LifeSiteNews is looking for to become our new Major Gifts Officer.

Developing relationships with LifeSiteNews benefactors, longstanding and new, is essential to LifeSiteNews, for it ensures that we have the necessary support to sustain and grow our mission. Therefore, we are looking for someone who has a proven track record in fundraising and donor relations.

LifeSite’s new Major Gifts Officer will work closely with our Director of Development, as well as other members of our leadership team. At the same time, he or she will be able to work remotely from home when not traveling to meet our benefactors or represent LifeSiteNews at public events.

Our new Major Gifts Officer should have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as well as a talent for organization and at least two years of experience in managing major donors.

We are looking for a true “people person” who is also deeply committed to the mission and values of LifeSiteNews.

Some of the responsibilities of the position are as follows:

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with new and existing major donors, including individuals and foundations.
  • Assist the Director of Development in creating and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including but not limited to quarterly giving campaigns, major gifts, and grants.
  • Support the rest of our development team, fostering an environment of growth, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Help in all fundraising campaigns, working to ensure they meet strategic goals and budget forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and editorial department to enhance fundraising messages and donor engagement strategies.
  • Monitor and report regularly on the opinions and concerns of major donors.
  • Stay informed of trends, legislation, and best practices in fundraising and non-profit management to adapt strategies as necessary.
  • Represent LifeSiteNews at certain events and virtual engagements, enhancing the organization’s visibility and fundraising opportunities.

While the position is remote, the job requires regular travel.

If you think you have what it takes to join our team and work in the service of life, faith, and family, then please do apply.
