News

Dear readers,

We have some encouraging news to report today!

Strong statements from Jewish and Catholic leaders and the latest breakthroughs from ethical adult stem cell research are accompanied by the great news that unborn twins were able to fight a tumor within their mother’s body.

Other stories are unfortunately not so encouraging.

There is yet another story about very positive comments and reviews of still more offensive movies by the reviewers in the US Bishops’ movie review office. They almost seem to be daring the NCCB heirarchy to remove them. The issue has now become, why is no one at the NCCB addressing this serious issue? Is anyone in charge??

On a sad note, one of the most outstanding Catholic Colleges in Canada has suffered a terrible blow, as two students have drowned after a van broke through the ice on Kaminiskeg Lake very near the LifeSiteNews editor’s home. Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Academy in Barry’s Bay, Ontario has the distinction of being the only Canadian Catholic College on the top twenty list put out by the Cardinal Newman Society of the most faithful Catholic Colleges. The school has asked that all join in the prayers of the family and friends of the victims.
