Help sponsor Christ is King billboards across America: LifeFunder
GEORGETOWN, Texas (LifeSiteNews) — LifeSiteNews readers have successfully sponsored a huge “Christ is King” billboard in Texas.
Thanks to the generous donations of LifeSite readers, a massive 14-feet high, 48-feet wide billboard proclaiming “Christ is King” now reminds Texans of Christ’s eternal kingship as they drive along the highway in Georgetown, Texas.
“Our whole purpose in life is to give glory to God!” John-Henry Westen, the co-founder and editor-in-chief of LifeSiteNews, declared.
“Showing all of our brothers and sisters in a public way the reality of the kingship of Christ and of His loving gaze in His Sacred Heart is the best thing we can do,” he continued.
Proclaiming the Kingship of Our Lord was made possible through the generous support of LifeSite readers who donated to erect the sign though LifeSite’s LifeFunder. Indeed, the donations exceeded the goal of $7,000, reaching a total of $7,130.
As the LifeFunder explains, LifeSite’s huge “Christ is King” roadside billboards have appeared in Kansas City, Nashville, and New Jersey so far, with each board running for four weeks and being viewed hundreds of thousands of times.
“Mighty nations stumble; world war threatens; there’s destruction on the battlefield and also in the womb, and all this is happening because man has forgotten God,” Westen declared in a video when the campaign was first launched.
Westen explained that the billboards aim to fulfill the command of Pope Pius XI, who said that “men must look for the Peace of Christ in the Kingdom of Christ.”
“He urged that the faithful give public honor to Christ the King so that individuals and states would submit once more to the rule of their Savior,” Westen said. “And that is why LifeSiteNews is raising up the image of Christ the King across the United States.”
The Christian declaration that “Christ is King” is unobjectionable in most countries with a majority Christian population. In fact, Christ was officially declared King of Poland by the Polish government in 2016.
However, recently, public profession of this belief has met with pushback in the United States, and almost incredibly, in March 2024, it became the subject of a social media storm.
