PITTSBURGH, December 4, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Last year LifeSiteNews began the process of investigating the requirements and procedures for acquiring US Internal Revenue 501(c)(3) tax status which would allow donations to LifeSiteNews.com, Inc. USA to be exempt from federal income tax.

The formal application was finally submitted earlier this year and on October 30 we received a communication from our lawyers advising us that on October 18 the Internal Revenue Service formally approved LifeSiteNews.com, Inc. for 501(c)(3) status.

The IRS stated, “Contributions to you are tax exempt under section 170 of the Code. You are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devices, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.”
LifeSiteNews is hoping that this will encourage its numerous US readers to contribute to the increasingly accessed service to assist with growing on-going costs as well as to fund substantial current and future development plans.
