News

December 22, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) – You may want to take a few days to read all of today’s LifeSiteNews reports. There is more than usual. That’s because it’s time for us to take a Christmas break and spend more than the usual limited time with our wonderful families and friends, as well as recharge our spiritual batteries.  As John-Henry Westen writes in his review of 2004, “This year has without doubt been the most hectic year in terms of developments in the culture wars.” It has therefore also been the most demanding for us, to say the least. When John-Henry looked back at what we had done this year, he was amazed. No wonder we have been looking forward so much to Christmas –  the peace and joy of Christmas, rather than the banal “Holiday Season”.  There may be the odd additional news report plus updates to Breaking News before we return on January 3, but we tend to believe most of our readers would also like a break from the culture wars and time to just be and think for the next 11 days and enjoy the blessings of this most special time of the year.

For our Canadian readers, the CLC National News for January and the November, December and January Interim newspapers will all be put on line in a few days. There are stories in these issues, however, that will also be of interest to non-Canadians.  Canadians take special note of Campaign Life Coalition’s urgent call for pro-family Canadians to contact their Members of Parliament, while they are now in their ridings for the Christmas parliamentary break, and insist that they vote against the same-sex ‘marriage bill, which may be introduced in January.  And just a gentle reminder to all our readers: if you have not yet responded to our recent appeal for financial support, please consider sending something now. We sure could use it. This is a major international social conservative news site. We function on donations only.
