DOMEIKAVA, Lithuania, November 23, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) – 52 years ago today abortion was legalized in all of the Soviet Union.  Pro-lifers in Lithuania are marking the date with prayers and a memorial service.

The bell of the Martyrs of Lithuania Catholic Church in Domeikava will toll 52 times prior to the offering of Mass for the victims of abortion.

Following the Mass, a burial service for an aborted baby will be held near the church’s oak monument erected in memory of babies who lost their lives through abortion.

The memorial day is organized by Father Robertas Skrinskas and concludes with a pro-life conference.
