WASHINGTON, Jan 8 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Peter G. Peterson, chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations, writing in this month’s edition of the influential journal Foreign Affairs, expresses concern over the global “crisis” being caused by low birth rates. The National Center for Policy Analysis reported that in “Gray Dawn: The Global Aging Crisis” (Foreign Affairs, January/February 1999) Peterson says national economies will predictably suffer worker shortages, immigration pressures and governments will face a choice between bankruptcy and radical reforms of national pension schemes.
