Washington Post Notes Move to Regulate 'Anti-Abortion Clinics'; Fails to Note Backers' Ties to NARAL

Britain the Abortion Capital of Europe: Terminations For Teenagers Leap by a Third
More abortions are carried out in Britain than any other country in Europe, research has shown.
It has overtaken France – which has a larger population – to become the abortion capital of the continent.

Audio of Talk by Fr. Thomas Euteneur, An Evening With an Exorcist
Fr. Thomas Euteneuer explains the anatomy of an exorcism.  As a practicing exorcist, he discusses how a person may become possessed and what goes on during an exorcism. He also explains the connection between abortion and demonic possession, from the abortion demon's invitation into the US with the Supreme Court's passing of Roe v. Wade in 1973 to the ritualized sacrifice of unborn children that goes on in Planned Parenthood “clinics” today.

Clinton Spreads Pro-Abortion Message in Catholic Philippines
In her first visit to the Philippines as US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton said on Thursday that her government respects the anti-contraceptive stance of various influential sectors in the Philippines, even though it contradicts the US’ foreign policy on reproductive rights.

“I think empowering women to be able to make choices that are in the best interest of the children they already have, and the family size that they desire – it increases education outcome, it increases income generation, it provides a much stronger basis for human development,” she said.

Local Regulations Targeting Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers Suggest New Strategy
Critics have accused proposed municipal and county legislation in Maryland of singling out pro-life pregnancy resource centers with regulations critics say are intended to harass and discredit the charities. The laws could be part of a new strategy that uses local lawmakers, rather than state or national legislators.

Climate Change 'sceptic' Ian Plimer Argues CO2 is Not Causing Global Warming
Professor Ian Plimer, a geologist from Adelaide University, argues that a recent rise in temperature around the world is caused by solar cycles and other “extra terrestrial” forces. “We cannot stop carbon emissions because most of them come from volcanoes,” he said.

Prof Plimer said the world has experienced three periods of cooling since 1850 and furthermore carbon dioxide was increasing during many of those cooler periods. “If we had only had warming, then there would be a connect between co2 and temperature, there is not,” he added. But he said the scientists “frightening people witless by following the party line” are motivated by politics and research funding.

Chuck Norris: Obama Wants 'To Create a One World Order' at Copenhagen Climate Talks
That's a view similar to Lord Christopher Monckton's belief, who recently warned Obama was “poised to cede U.S. sovereignty” at Copenhagen. The ultimate result from Copenhagen: A fundamental change of the United States “as we know it.”

Orwellian” Individual Carbon Ration Proposed for Britain
Everyone in Britain should have an annual carbon ration and be penalised if they use too much fuel, the head of the Environment Agency will say. It would involve people being issued with a unique number which they would hand over when purchasing products that contribute to their carbon footprint, such as fuel, airline tickets and electricity.

Lord Smith will call for the scheme to be part of a “Green New Deal” to be introduced within 20 years when he addresses the agency's annual conference on Monday. Ruth Lea, an economist from Arbuthnot Banking Group, told the Daily Mail: “This is all about control of the individual and you begin to wonder whether this is what the green agenda has always been about. It's Orwellian. This will be an enormous tax on business.”

Chairman Mo's Little Red Website – Peter Foster, Financial Post
Why are people not more aware of the greatest threat to human freedom and prosperity since the collapse of Communism? I refer not to the 2008 financial crisis, or man-made climate change, but to that eminent Canadian Maurice Strong. He is, after all, more than any other person responsible for sending the nations of the world down the path to Copenhagen.

It seems that Mr. Strong too may be fed up with his lack of profile. He has set up a website,, where you will find the bald—but accurate—statement that “Maurice Strong is the world's leading environmentalist.” From heading the first UN environment conference in Stockholm in 1972 to masterminding the 1992 Rio summit, “Maurice Strong,” says Maurice Strong's website, “has played a unique and critical role in globalizing the environmental movement.”

This is a man, we might remember, who welcomes the collapse of industrial civilization, and has described the prospect of billions of environmental deaths as a “glimmer of hope.” Now, Mr. Strong has just rounded it all up to a cool $1-trillion that needs to be shipped from the West “over time” as a “climate security fund” via the same folks who brought us oil-for-food.

Mr. Strong calls for a “new economic paradigm” which will set prices so as to reflect “real” values. Mr. Strong quite blatantly promotes eco dictatorship. He declares that “Our concept of ballot-box democracy may need to be modified to produce strong governments capable of making difficult decisions, particularly in terms of safeguarding the global environment.”

Netherlands to Levy 'Green' Road Tax by the Kilometre
“Each vehicle will be equipped with a GPS device that tracks how many kilometres are driven and when and where. This data will be then be sent to a collection agency that will send out the bill,” the transport ministry said in a statement.

Ownership and sales taxes, about a quarter of the cost of a new car, will be scrapped and replaced by the “price per kilometre” system aimed at cutting the Netherlands' carbon dioxide emissions by 10 percent.

Church Bells to Ring Out Warning on Climate Change
The World Council of Churches on Thursday called on churches around the world to ring their bells 350 times during the Copenhagen climate change summit on December 13 as a call to action on global warming.

Atheist Soros Funds Catholic Groups
It has now been revealed that George Soros, the billionaire hedge fund operator and well-known atheist, has been pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into “progressive” Catholic groups that are significant players in the national debates over health care and immigration. A major financial backer of the ACLU, Soros supports such causes as drug legalization, the rights of “sex workers” and felons, euthanasia, radical feminism, abortion rights, and homosexual rights. He does all of this in the name of promoting an “open society.”

But a review of the records of his Open Society Institute finds that a group calling itself Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good (CACG) has received $200,000 from them over the last several years. Soros money has gone into the Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC), an organization established by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops back in 1988. It has received at least $530,000 from the Open Society Institute.

Anti-Catholic: New mega-movie “2012”
Is The 2012 Trailer Anti-Catholic? Roland Emmerich, the director, who, according to numerous sources is openly gay and an activist liberal. In a closet in his house, Mr. Emmerich has a statue of Pope John Paul II laughing while reading his own obituary. That's right. Pope John Paul II. In a closet. Laughing while reading his own obituary. Mao and Lenin fill the length of the 25ft living room wall; an old master-style painting of the Crucifixion shows Jesus sporting a Wham T-shirt; in the guest bathroom is a portrait of Saddam Hussein

Father Raymond J. de Souza: The Fort Hood Double Standard
Denying at the outset the Islamist motivations of men such as Major Nidal Malik Hasan does no favour to Muslims who, after all, bear the largest share of the global death toll caused by Islamist extremism. But we're getting pretty used to the routine: Islamist violence, followed by pundits getting upset when anyone mentions the link between extreme Islamism and violence.

In a few weeks, we shall be gearing up for the 20th anniversary of the Montreal Massacre, the mass killing of women students at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal by Marc Lepine. The identity linkages there were made right from the beginning—Lepine was representative of Canadian misogyny, a reasonable enough conclusion given his specific admission that he was killing women to protest “feminism.” Yet how representative of Canadian men was Lepine? Was it at all relevant that he was born Gamil Gharbi, son of an Algerian father who was abusive to his French-Canadian mother? That part of the identity package has long been left untouched.

Million Muslim March to Denounce Terror?
Bernie Goldberg shrewdly asked when we are going to see a Million Muslim March take place in Washington – in which a million Muslims gather to denounce terror and declare that what Nidal Malik Hasan did was un-Islamic. As the scholar Robert Spencer has stressed over and over again, the problem is not Muslims, the problem is Islam – in the sense that the problem is what Islam teaches.

September 10? It’s Worse Than That
If the Fort Hood atrocity tells us anything, it is that things are much worse than they were before 9/11. For one thing, 9/11 has happened. Before it did, perhaps we had an excuse. But we’ve experienced the wages of consciously avoiding Islamism. To have retreated into puerile fantasies about a religion of peace is, at this juncture, unfathomable.

The word incomprehensible does not do justice to the FBI’s conclusion that jihadist saboteur Nidal Hasan’s numerous communications with jihadist imam Anwar al-Awlaki were either (a) not significant enough to warrant further investigation or (b) significant but immune from further investigation on First Amendment grounds.

Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director, Stepping Down
My guess is that Dunn's expressed admiration for Mao is the cause of her departure. For this revelation I suppose we have to thank Fox's Glenn Beck.

After Spending Binge, White House Says it Will Focus on Deficits
Obama has spent more money on new programs in nine months than Bill Clinton did in eight years, pushing the annual deficit to $1.4 trillion. For starters, the White House has not dropped plans for an aggressive global warming bill early next year that will be loaded with new spending on green technology and jobs – that would be paid for with tax increases. Democratic lobbyist Steve Elmendorf says the White House focus on deficit reduction could easily kill the cap-and-trade effort. “I think this means cap-and-trade has to go to the backburner,” he said.

The Worst Decision By A US President In History
The Obama administration has taken a giant step in its march to throw in the towel in the war against radical Islam. On FoxNews this morning, Peter King said of the decision to try the soldiers of al-Qaeda — who by their own account have no country but their cause — as civilians. It sends a signal to terrorists everywhere to attack civilians. The administration is justifying its decisions on the grounds that because the 9/11 attackers targeted civilians they should be tried as civilians. The decision to try the jihadists in a civilian court is also a decision which will divulge America’s security secrets to the enemy since civilian courts afford defendants the right of discovery.

Now Obama wants to put an ACORN fund-raiser on the federal bench

Cost of Canadian Swine Flu Vaccine Program Hits $1.5B: Report
It appears the plan to have every Canadian vaccinated against swine flu is not coming cheap. New estimates show the vaccination program could cost more than $2 billion. The actual figure might be even higher, because many provinces are still revising their costs, while others have yet to release total estimates…the total cost is currently running at about $30 a shot – and climbing.

The Real Flu Story
So far, fewer have died this year in Canada than normal says Manitoba's chief public health officer. Kettner has always said Manitoba has about 100 confirmed deaths from seasonal flu every year. This year, the only strain of influenza public health officials are seeing in Manitoba is H1N1. And so far, we've only had eight deaths from this supposedly very deadly disease. Shouldn't the real story be, “flu deaths way down this year?”  The truth is, H1N1 has spared a whole generation of elderly people from serious illness and death, folks who are normally far more susceptible to the flu than the younger population. It's still too early to make that judgment, says Kettner, and H1N1 could still take off and result in far more deaths.

How U.N. Redefined 'Pandemic' to Heighten Alarm Over H1N1
The current WHO phase of pandemic alert remains at 6, indicating a full-blown global pandemic. But in early May, just prior to the initial declaration, WHO made little-noticed changes to its definition of a pandemic. The previous definition of a pandemic stated: An influenza pandemic occurs when a new influenza virus appears against which the human population has no immunity, resulting in several, simultaneous epidemics worldwide with enormous numbers of deaths and illness.  The WHO changed that definition, omitting the section indicating “enormous numbers of deaths and illness.”

Epidemiologist Tom Jefferson states, “The old definition was a new virus, which went around quickly, for which you didn't have immunity, and which created a high morbidity and mortality rate. Now the last two have been dropped, and that's how swine flu has been categorized as a pandemic.” Jefferson said there's money to be made when a pandemic occurs. “The WHO and public health officials, virologists and the pharmaceutical companies. They've built this machine around the impending pandemic,” he said. “And there's a lot of money involved, and influence, and careers, and entire institutions! And all it took was one of these influenza viruses to mutate to start the machine grinding.”

During an average U.S. winter, normal seasonal flu strains result in an average of 200,000 hospitalizations and 36,000 deaths – about 10 times the current swine-flu death rate reported by the CDC. As of Nov. 1, WHO reported the global H1N1 death toll at more than 6,000.

Medical Workers Balk at Mandatory Flu Vaccines
“There is no evidence that vaccination of healthcare workers in hospitals or outpatient settings has any impact whatsoever on patients,” said Dr. Melanie Swift, head of occupational health for Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Tennessee. “You've got to vaccinate the patients.”

Newt Gingrich Warns of 'destructive' GOP Primaries
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich predicted disaster for his party if the conservative wing of the GOP continues to field independent candidates to the right of the party’s nominee. “If we get into a cycle where there are tea parties and there are conservative third-party candidates, we will make [Nancy] Pelosi speaker for life,” Gingrich told POLITICO in an interview Thursday, calling the practice “totally destructive. You can’t be a right-wing party and govern the country.”

European Union Wants a President – Toward what end is not clear.
At this moment European power brokers are negotiating among themselves as to what kind of president they want—an international superstar like Tony Blair or perhaps some supporting actor such as a current or former head of a modest-sized government like Belgium, Luxembourg, or the Netherlands. They also want a foreign minister, or at least someone who can run EU foreign affairs. What that might be is certainly up for definition as each of the 27 member countries has its own foreign minister and, presumably, its own foreign policy.

A Christmas Carol
Jim Carrey is brilliant in this retelling of the classic Christmas story—this time with stunning computer-generated effects.
