(LifeSiteNews) – The largest book retailer in Canada decided it will not stock its shelves with a Canadian best-seller The Freedom Convoy: The Inside Story of Three Weeks that Shook the World.
Indigo won’t put a book about the Freedom Convoy in stores, despite it being a bestseller https://t.co/7zX4x2hEeL

Indigo told the National Post that it doesn’t have room on its shelves for the book.
The book, written by True North senior journalist Andrew Lawton, is a combination of his reporting of the event along with exclusive interviews.
I’m humbled by how much support there has been for my book, “The Freedom Convoy: The Inside Story of Three Weeks that Shook the World.” Disappointing that a company I grew up buying books from doesn’t think their customers are interested in it. https://t.co/hPzUF2wgbW

Since publication, the book has topped Canadian and international bestseller lists, such as Amazon charts, the Toronto Star, and the Globe and Mail.
Kenneth Whyte, founder of the publishing house that released the book, told the National Post that he fears Indigo has “a problem with the subject matter or the perceived politics in the book.”
“They have stocked and sold a lot of our books,” Whyte added, calling the decision not to carry the book “bizarre.”
“Maybe they don’t think the people who would be interested in this book would shop at Indigo,” Whyte said. “You would think they understand that people who go into their stores don’t all share the same outlook and probably want to see some diversity of opinion on their shelves.”
Indigo carries numerous other books with content that could offend customers, such as This is How it Always Is: A Novel , which promotes acceptance of childhood gender transitions.
