SAN ANTONIO, Texas (LifeSiteNews) – A 26-year-old Texas resident was arrested Wednesday and charged with allegedly threatening to kill Erika Kirk at an upcoming event.
The San Antonio Express-News reported that Jacob Wenske is accused of posting threatening comments under a post by the paper announcing that Kirk, the widow of murdered populist activist Charlie Kirk, would speak at next week’s Turning Point USA (TPUSA) Women’s Leadership Summit at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter.
“I know exactly where to bomb” and “I can’t wait to be the valet for her escort,” he allegedly posted. The posts were deemed more than idle remarks due to Wenske having past experience working for a parking management company that did valet work for hotels and events, potentially giving him the knowledge and experience to act on the threats.
In January, TPUSA received an email from an account registered to Wenske declaring, “Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!! America will live on without those scum on this earth. Every Christian nationalist shall perish in the bombing that will take place at every single Turning Point rally and event.”
The arrest affidavit summarized Wenske’s Facebook account as displaying “ongoing violent hostility toward Turning Point-affiliated persons and supporters, including death-approval statements, encouragement of harm toward ideological opponents, and repeated hostile engagement across multiple public threads.”
Erika’s husband, Charlie, was fatally shot on September 10, 2025, while speaking at an outdoor event at Utah Valley University. Two days later, authorities apprehended and accused 22-year-old Tyler Robinson of the shooting and detailed how he was motivated by his view of Kirk’s conservative views as “hateful.”
Robinson was in a romantic relationship with his male roommate, who was in the process of “transitioning” to female.
The political assassination came amid an ongoing climate of intense mutual partisan hostility, with left-wing activists commonly casting their political opponents as “extremists” while doing little to oppose violent rhetoric within their midst.
In the wake of Kirk’s death, far-left Anti-Defamation League (ADF) took down its controversial “Glossary of Extremism and Hate,” which had identified TPUSA as a “hate group,” but more than a few leftists openly celebrated the killing, particularly among academia.
Conservative U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas recently said that threats to himself and fellow justices made it “very, very dicey” to arrange in-person public appearances. When the nation’s highest court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, pro-abortion activists reacted with bitter protests of the justices’ homes, which Democrat leaders at the time refused to condemn. Californian Nicholas John Roske took a gun and ammunition to the home of Trump-appointed Justice Brett Kavanaugh with intent to kill, and Trump-appointed Justice Amy Coney Barrett has spoken about having to wear a bulletproof vest and regularly travel with U.S. marshals.
President Donald Trump has been the target of multiple attempted shootings, most recently a mentally disturbed gunman opening fire at the White House last weekend before being killed by U.S. Secret Service.
