LITTLE ROCK, September 22, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – In a case which was voted one of the most spiked stories of 1999, Arkansas Supreme Court has upheld the 25-year sentence against a homosexual man who with his male partner raped and killed a young boy. Joshua Macabe Brown, then 22, and Davis Don Carpenter, then 38, were convicted in 1999 of the brutal rape and murder of 13-year-old Jesse Derkhising. The story did not gain national prominence until featured in a column by WorldNetDaily founder and editor-in-chief Joseph Farah. Rather than give prominent coverage to the Derkhising case, most media focused on the death of Matthew Shepard, a homosexual student who was murdered in Wyoming in Oct. 1998.
