OTTAWA, Jan 18, 2001 (LSN.ca) – Organizers for the annual Ottawa March for Life have released preliminary details of this year’s event marking the May 14, 1969 legalization of abortion in Canada. The 2001 theme is “No to Discrimination”. Pro-life Canadians from across the nation are encouraged to participate in this important action, taking the opportunity also to meet with their MPs and Senators on the Hill. Last year there was a marked increase in the number of students and young adults taking part in the March.

Friday May 11: 10:00 a.m.- Church Services; 12:00 p.m.- Gather on Parliament Hill; 1:00 p.m. – March for Life through the streets of Ottawa; 6:00 p.m.- March for Life banquet at the Congress Centre – Guest speaker F.L. Ted Morton, Calgary; 9:30 p.m. – Youth Dance.

Saturday May 12: Skits and inspirational speakers on Victims of Violence, World Youth Alliance, Media Manipulation, Impact Politics and more; Candlelight vigil at sunset. Affordable youth accommodation is being arranged.
