OTTAWA (LifeSiteNews) — Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was heckled as he attended a “Pride Flag” raising ceremony at the nation’s house of government and praised the LGBT agenda.
On Tuesday, Carney, Gender Equality Minister Rechie Valdez, Senator Martine Hébert, and Liberal MPs Marie-Gabrielle Ménard, Ernie Klassen and Rob Oliphant raised the “Pride flag,” claiming it is a symbol of “belonging.”
“Today, we raised the Pride flag on Parliament Hill — a symbol of was heckled as he attended an LGBT-charged “Pride Flag” raising ceremony, belonging, an act of vigilance, and a beacon for all those who are not yet free,” Carney noted in an X post.
“It is a reminder that our freedom comes with a responsibility, that of continuing to build a better and more just Canada.”
While Carney, who says he is a practicing Catholic, was delivering his remarks in French, hecklers began yelling at him, though it is not clear from the video or audio what they were saying or who they were affiliated with. However, “Shame on you” can be heard from the heckler.
Carney, in his English remarks, said his “fundamental message” was that “unity does not require uniformity.”
He claimed that “progress” for the LGBT community had to “fight” for “every right, every freedom.”
He then praised former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, Justin Trudeau’s dad, for decriminalizing “homosexuality” or buggery as it was known in 1969.
Carney then praised Canada legalizing same-sex “marriage” in 2005, calling it the new “law of the land.”
He also made it a point in his speech to praise the “Pride” flag creator and the Liberal government’s promotion and use of taxpayer money to promote the LGBT agenda.
In addition to Carney, Ontario Premier Doug Ford recently posted “happy pride month” social media video in which he openly celebrated the LGBT agenda.
As reported by LifeSiteNews, Carney’s 2026 budget includes millions in taxpayer money for “SLGBTQI+ communities,” gender equality and “pride” safety.
Under Justin Trudeau, the Liberals led the most pro-abortion government in Canadian history, spending more than $1 billion since 2020 to promote abortion and contraception at home and abroad.
