HOLLYWOOD (LifeSiteNews) – Prominent actor Chris Evans, famous for playing Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently called people “idiots” and “dinosaurs” for objecting to a homosexual kiss in the new Buzz Lightyear movie.

Evans, who voices Buzz Lightyear in the prequel to “Toy Story,” said that what “makes us human” is to ignore those who don’t want to see two homosexual characters in what is supposed to be a children’s movie.

In the movie, simply called “Lightyear,” a female character in the film kisses another female character to whom she is “married.” “Toy Story 4” also included lesbian moms.

“The real truth is those people are idiots,” Evans told Reuters before the film’s release on June 17.

“Every time there’s been social advancement as we wake up, the American story, the human story is one of constant social awakening and growth and that’s what makes us good,” he said further.

“There’s always going to be people who are afraid and unaware and trying to hold on to what was before. But those people die off like dinosaurs,” Evans said. “I think the goal is to pay them no mind, march forward and embrace the growth that makes us human.”

Parade reported that Disney had originally cut the scene, but restored it facing backlash from LGBT activists, including from within the company. The restoration of the scene came after criticism of Disney for not doing enough to stop Florida’s anti-grooming law which prohibits sex education until the 4th grade.

However, the overt LGBT propaganda has not helped the movie succeed. Disney poured over $200 million into the production and marketing of the movie, only to see it make $50 million in the first weekend in the United States and Canada. The movie lost out to “Jurassic World Dominion,” ironically, a movie about dinosaurs.

This is not the first time Evans has shared his resentment for Biblical views on homosexuality.

In 2019, Evans claimed that a group of people in Boston who organized a “Straight Pride” parade were secretly homosexual themselves.

“Wow! Cool initiative, fellas!! Just a thought, instead of ‘Straight Pride’ parade, how about this: The ‘desperately trying to bury our own gay thoughts by being homophobic because no one taught us how to access our emotions as children’ parade? Whatta ya think? Too on the nose??” he wrote mockingly.

Evans also criticized a 2019 Alabama law that completely banned abortions, calling it “absolutely unbelievable.”

In addition to this, Evans weighed in against Donald Trump, when he called the former president a “absolute dumb sh*t.” Evans addedd he could not support NFL quarterback Tom Brady if the Super Bowl champion still supported Trump. “I really hope he’s not a Trump supporter,” Evans said about Brady in 2019, in response to being asked if he would ever act as Brady in a film.
