LONDON, England, Feb 22 (Lifesitenews.com) One of Britain’s top fertility experts has announced that given current technology it is possible for men to carry babies to term and be delivered by caesarian section. Lord Robert Winston, head of a hospital fertility clinic in London, has outlined the concept in his book, The IVF Revolution, to be published in April. “Male pregnancy would certainly be possible and would be the same as when a woman has an ectopic pregnancy – outside the uterus – although to sustain it, you’d have to give the man lots of female hormones,” said Winston.
In the Sunday Times, Winston said he expects the first customers for the technique to undergo the technique to be active gays. “There might be some demand among consenting homosexuals but I don’t think there would be a rush of people wanting to implement this technology.”
