TORONTO, Ontario, July 10 (LSN) – Militant pro-abortion protestors blocked traffic and clashed with police this afternoon at the Toronto Queen’s Park pro-life witness event “show the Truth.” Approximately 90 pro-lifers attended.
None of the confrontation was initiated by or involved the pro-life demonstrators. Pro-lifers co-operated fully with police and remained polite to all passers-by. At no point were the two groups within more than 10 meters of each other.
When police moved in to clear the pro-abortion blockade of Toronto’s busy University Ave., a number of the pro-abortion protestors began to both physically and verbally abuse the police.
Police arrested 11 pro-abortion picketers.
The Show the Truth tour has been travelling to towns and cities acrosss southern Ontario since July 6. At each stop, demonstrators display a long row of signs that graphically depict the remains of pre-born babies who are victims of abortion.
Show the Truth – Canada organized the witness event. It opposes all forms of violence.
