Clinton suggests U.N. rapid deployment force

NEW YORK, Sept 6 (LSN.ca) – Today US President Bill Clinton, the first world leader to speak, in his 5-minute speech called for what appeared to be a standing army available to the U.N. Meanwhile at the State of the World Forum, running simultaneously in New York, Mikhail Gorbachev demanded that the United Nations be given massive control over finances and the environment.
