DAYTON, OH, Sept 14 (LifeSiteNews.com) – On Monday, U.S. District Court Judge Walter Rice declared a mistrial in a US government lawsuit against Operation Rescue based on the notorious 1994 Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE). The mistrial decision was apparently based on a technicality. While the pro-lifers suspect another trial is being prepared, defendant David Mehaffie called the mistrial a “victory”, and said “God has given a victory over a federal government that has wholeheartedly endorsed, protected and even propagated infanticide.” In March 1998 the U.S. Justice Department began the case accusing the pro-lifers of blocking access to clinics in Cincinnati, Dayton and Kettering, a Dayton suburb in July 1997.
