WORCESTER, Mass., June 18 (LSN) – Major news media, which only today are reporting on the human cloning story reported by LifeSite this past Monday, have revealed more details on the procedure and its proponents.  The National Post reported today that six private companies in the US and Britain are working on cloning human embryos for “stem cells” and US scientist Richard Seed’s Japanese clinic, promising to produce 500 cloned babies a year, is set to open in August.  The first claim of successful human cloning took place in November and brought fears of animal-human hybrids since the nucleus of a cows egg was hollowed out and the cell of an adult male inserted. The Post cites Dr. Patrick Dixon, author of The Genetic Revolution who insists cloning science is out of control. Of the November experiments he says, “this research was more spectacular than Dolly, yet carried out years earlier with a total news blackout.” Not a total blackout since LifeSite report on the story November 13.  See:  https://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/1998/nov/981113.html#4 See Monday’s report at:  https://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/1999/june/990614.html#2   For the story in the National Post see:  https://www.nationalpost.com/news.asp?s2=national&s3=reporter
