TORONTO (LifeSiteNews) — 205 members of the Toronto Police Service (TPS) have been placed on indefinite unpaid absence because they refused to bow to an employer COVID shot mandate.
According to a press release sent out by the TPS on Tuesday, the un-jabbed cops and civilian workers have “rendered themselves unable to perform their duties” because they “have not disclosed their vaccination status or are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19.”
According to TPS, the only way the members can get their jobs back is if they comply with the jab mandate to become “fully vaccinated.”
Many people do not want to take COVID shots because they are not proven to be safe. Millions of injuries and thousands of deaths have been reported in connection with the jabs. Meanwhile, many Catholics and other Christians are opposed to the novel medical products because cell lines derived from aborted babies were used in either their development or their testing.
TPS says that 117 of the workers are uniform members, with 88 being civilian.
TPS claims that 98 percent of its 7,415 police force have “disclosed their vaccination status.”
TPS Chief James Ramer claimed that the objective of the jab mandate is to ensure “the health and safety of our members, our workplaces, and the public we serve.”
The sacking of the Toronto police officers comes at a time when serious crime in the city has gone through the roof. Year over year Toronto has seen a 20 percent increase in murders, with shootings becoming commonplace.
Statistics Canada numbers show that Toronto’s overall murder rate has increased almost three-fold compared to other crime-heavy Canadian cities of Montreal or Vancouver.
In August, the Toronto Police Association (TPA) said that it does not support making COVID jabs mandatory for its members but it has not yet made a statement regarding the firings of un-jabbed members.
While the province of Ontario has not issued a blanket COVID shot mandate for healthcare workers, the City of Toronto mandated the jabs for all its staff. This requirement has been in place since September 17 and includes the Toronto police department.
Workers for the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) now have until January 27, 2022, to be fully jabbed or be fired.
Since August, hundreds of TTC workers have been battling the city of Toronto over jab mandates, forcing delays in deadlines.
Many consider such mandates a gross assault on individual freedoms that’s totally unnecessary given COVID-19’s high survivability among most groups, minimal risk of asymptomatic spread, and research indicating that post-infection natural immunity is equally protective against reinfection.
A lot of people do not want the COVID injections due to safety concerns surrounding the jabs.
Recently, a group called Mounties for Freedom made up of active duty and retired members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) joined together to say they cannot “willingly participate in enforcing” COVID jab mandates.
In an open letter sent to RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki, they have asked her to investigate the government officials’ role in producing draconian virus rules.
In August, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) said it is “unacceptable” that Canada’s federal government would use “discipline” to mandate its new requirement that all civil servants receive COVID-19 vaccines by October.
The COVID-19 injections approved for emergency use in Canada, including the Pfizer jab for ages 12 and up, all have connections to cells derived from aborted babies.
All four have also been associated with severe side effects such as blood clots, rashes, miscarriages, and even heart attacks in young, healthy men.
