OWENSVILLE, Indiana, July 23, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) –  Indiana State Police arrested an Owensville woman Friday for covering up her 21-year-old son’s sexual relationship with a 15-year-old by arranging her abortion.

Kacy L. Heath, 43, is facing two felony charges: contributing to the delinquency of a minor and conspiracy to commit identity theft.

Indiana State Police Detective Tobias Odom, who conducted the investigation, said Heath gave the minor a fake ID and paid for the abortion, which took place in February in Grant City, Illinois.

“Her legal guardians had no knowledge of her pregnancy or the abortion,” police stated. Indiana requires parental consent before minors have an abortion.

Police arrested her son, 21-year-old Steven King, in April after finding him in a Missouri hotel room with the minor, part of a sexual relationship that began in June 2011.

Tobias said he initiated the investigation after hearing of an underage girl having an abortion in Illinois.

Pro-life advocates have long argued one of abortion’s functions is to hide illicit, and often illegal, sexual conduct.

“Abortion is the ultimate recourse for hiding the evidence of pedophilia,” said Georges Buscemi, president of Campagne Quebec-Vie, after learning that a mother and father in Quebec covered up their several-years-long incestuous relationship with their 12-year-old daughter by obtaining an abortion.

A similar case in neighboring Ohio saw a 21-year-old soccer coach, John Haller, pose as his 14-year-old victim’s father to grant “parental consent.”  An observer noted at the time Planned Parenthood’s “argument that they made a good faith effort to contact the parents, quite frankly, in our opinion, is ludicrous.”

In its 2011 annual report the DC Abortion Fund (DCAF) admitted that the organization paid for an abortion after a 19-year-old was raped by her father, doing so without filing a police report.

Such instances are all-too-common, according to former abortion clinic workers. Abby Johnson has said she has witnessed Planned Parenthood refuse to report instances in which “the minor girl is the victim of an act of statutory rape” on several occasions.

After posting a series of video exposes in 2009 showing clinic employees ignoring the sexual abuse of women, Lila Rose of Live Action said the footage reveals “a disturbing pattern in which Planned Parenthood repeatedly covers up the sexual abuse of minors.”

Both Heath and King were taken to the Gibson County Jail in southwestern Indiana.
