LINCOLN, Neb., June 11 (LSN) – Dawn Bixler, mother of 16-year-old Dallas Mills, is being sued by Doug and Sharon Detmer, parents of Leanne Detmer, also 16, for having permitted the teenage couple to have sex.  The girl conceived a child and aborted the baby, and suffered “extensive psychological and physical damage,” as a result.  On Tuesday, District Judge Jeffre Cheuvront refused to dismiss the case, noting that although the sexual relationship was “consensual,” the question of whether the boy’s mother had a “duty to act” to stop it remains. Bixler is being sued for $11,371 (US) for the cost of the abortion and the resulting physical and psychological damage.
